I have been involved in Community Management for over 20 years. I began by serving on the Board of Directors of a new condominium working through the transition from developer to homeowner control. Following that, I furthered my education by joining a management company as a portfolio manager. Taking all this education and experience and adding it to my many years as a budget analyst for the Dept. of Defense, I
decided I had the necessary skills, ability, desire and courage to open my own management company. My goal was, and continues to be, to DO IT RIGHT. I believe that a good management company can add tremendous value to a community, both in the market as well as communally. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of proving that to be so.  I am a PCAM certified manager, the highest designation that a management industry professional may receive. 

When I'm not living, breathing and thinking about the communities I serve, I enjoy reading and getting together with family or friends for dinner, then beating them at cards. My two grandchildren keep me laughing and my little maltese, Molly, is my snuggle baby. Wherever you see me, you will see Molly as well.

MMI is uniquely experienced to provide management services to all types of community associations -condominiums, town homes, and single family homes - from very small to mid-size (1,000 units or less).  We have worked with developers to help establish new communities and have worked with homeowner controlled boards to transition their communities from the developer. MMI's management system allows control, expeditious follow-through, and complete record keeping of all service requests, work orders and management tasks.  The system is available to on-site personnel via the internet.  Board members can also have access to the information through the internet at any time to monitor the current status of service requests and management functions. 

MMI uses its broad-based experience for the benefit of each of the associations and communities it serves to consistently review the policies and procedures with a view to adoption of best practices and procedures.  Regular meetings of personnel are held to share experiences and to develop best practices. 

To better serve communities, MMI maintains an in-house collections department.  Most communities face delinquency issues.  Before accounts are turned over to an attorney, our department is able to work with individual homeowners to bring them current.  There is no fee to your HOA for this service, and it measurably saves MMI clients thousands of dollars in legal fees annually… one more way MMI personally serves the best interests of its communities.

Community Manager

Emily joined MMI in 2010, excited to apply a decade's worth of association communications and management expertise to the world of homeowners associations.  Since then, she has developed a passion for helping to facilitate happy, involved communities. 

Emily lives in Purcellville with her husband, kids and a few spoiled animals.  Her greatest joys are her family and friends, her Swiss Mountain Dog Wyatt, and The Red Sox.  She enjoys her community and all Western Loudoun has to offer!



I joined MMI in October 2011.  I have an accounting degree from the University of Washington.  My work experience has ranged from public to private accounting.  Before moving to Virginia I had my own accounting business where I provided accounting services for about 15 small businesses.

I am married with two children.  In my free time you will find me on a lacrosse field or in my garden.


Administrator & Delinquencies Manager

I began working for MMI in August 2010 primarily focusing on delinquent accounts.  I continue to work with delinquencies but have recently expanded my job duties to also include various administrative tasks.  Prior to working for MMI I spent four years as an office administrator for Nova Medical Group and Urgent Care Centers.  For the last few years I have been a full time mom to my two beautiful little girls.


Administrator & Resale/ARC Coordinator

I've been told some refer to me as "the smiling voice on the phone." Thank you for that!  I have been with MMI since 2006 working in an administrative capacity.  I know a little about a lot, as the saying goes, having worked closely with Carol from the beginning.  What I most enjoy about my job is trying to help people; from homeowners to Board members.  My main area of concentration at MMI is working with Architectural Applications and HOA Resale Packages.  So if you are going to build it or sell it, I'm your girl!

I am married and the mother of two grown children.  In my off hours you will find me dancing, fishing, walking, or spending time with my family.
